A Cultural Critique through Comics
Opening Reception November 18, 5pm-8pm
Comic influenced art and graphic novels are making a big comeback. Comic artists are not only creating new and diverse characters, they are addressing serious social issues and occurrences. Focusing on the intersection of social power and comic art, this exhibition explores diverse theoretical perspectives such as cultural studies, political economy, feminist criticism, queer studies and mythic analysis.
