That about sums it up by Nikki McGuinnis
Used as a documentary method, photography captures moments of emotion that can transcend time, taking the viewer back in memory. Intimacy can be subjective, but moments between photographer and subject that speak to the nature of human relationships in their documented form, are undeniable. Tracing the interactions of personal moments and intimacies between individuals, time and space, this exhibition features the work of six female photographers- Traci Matlock and Ashley MacLean, Calethia DeConto, Nikki McGuinnis, Kathryn Wilson and Chrys Carroll- who transcend the boundaries of normalized relationships to discover new ways to view beauty in individual interactions both with each other and with photography as a medium.
