Journeys in Spirited Landscapes
September 18 - October 11
Opening reception: September 18, 5-8pm
Gallery Talk: September 19, 4pm
Featuring the work of UWM Anthropology professor, Bernard C. Perley, this collection of paintings and drawings reflect different experiences in his journeys through American Indian "spirited" landscapes; homage amidst the effigy mounds, spirits of place in the southwest, and primordiality in the Maliseet homeland. He has produced these landscapes so that we may never forget how we came from this earth and how we are important participants in not only a "spirited" landscape, but a spiritual landscape as well.
Also, be sure to take a look at Bernard C. Perley's website here.
