African Dance workshop with Lucky Diop

Free and open to the public

African drums and music makes everyone want to dance. Here's your chance! Lucky Diop will lead a free workshop to show you some of the movements and steps of African dance. Try not to wear jeans that day, as they will inhibit your movement.

An Evening of African Dance and Music with Lucky Diop
Friday, September 15 – 6-9 pm

The Union Art Gallery and UWM Union Sociocultural Programming will co-host a closing reception for A Congo Chronicle . The event begins at 6 pm with food, drink, and a last look at the remarkable artwork in this exhibition. Beginning at 7pm, musician guest Lucky Diop, his fellow drummers and dancers will showcase African rhythms and movement and set the night to music!
