of Preston Jackson The Union Art Gallery was proud to host the work of Preston Jackson, an accomplished sculptor and professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Jackson depicts the history of the people of different ethnicities living in the Southern United States in the period before and after the Civil War and how their stories are intertwined through his beautifully executed bronze pieces. The work mirrors who we are and how actions of the past have affected social behavior today.
