6. For iPod Shuffle:

| 7. On a Mac, the iPod will now appear on the desktop and in any Finder window. On Windows, the iPod will appear in My Computer as a removable storage device. Double click on the iPod and you are now able to drag files to this window and it will copy files to the hard drive of the iPod.
8. Before unplugging the iPod from your computer, make sure to eject the iPod properly from your computer.

| As a general note, when plugging in the iPod to any other computer, make sure to not link your iPod to another person’s computer as this will format all of the information on your iPod and replace it with theirs. This will only be asked of you if you selected the checkbox to Enable disk use on the iPod. If you have selected Manually manage songs and playlists you will not be asked to do this |
