Job Title: Catering Assistant-BEG

Job Summary:

Assist Dining Services staff in serving functions at banquets, parties, or other catered events; serve cocktails, snacks, appetizers, entrees, desserts, beverages, etc. May assist in all set-up and associated kitchen functions. Student employees that work through the final exam period of the current semester may be eligible for the PERformance Merit Award.

Job Description: Catering Assistant-BEG

Job Qualifications:

Prior wait staff experience helpful. Ability to work independently, be detail oriented and enjoy public contact. Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds.

Essential Duties:

Assist staff in performance of serving functionas at catered events. Pack equipment for set-up and take-down and assist in transport of same. Clear tables and clean up at end of event. Complete event paperwork.

Additional Duties:

Attend training sessions, wear required uniform and maintain sanitation standards.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for long periods of time (4 hours); reasonably good vision and hearing in order to operate safely in a food production area and around hot ovens and sharp instruments; ability to lift 30-40 # repeatedly

Rate depends on experience but will range from $7.00-$8.00. Hiring 4 positions.
