The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee is one of the nation’s top campuses for LGBT+ students and is also ranked as a 4.5-star campus on the LGBT-friendly Campus Climate Index. We have earned one of the highest score attainable in terms of creating a safe and welcoming campus for LGBT+ students and their allies.
Part of why UWM scores so high every year is because our dedication to the student experience goes far beyond just the LGBT Resource Center. We actively engage with other departments on campus to create an affirming and welcoming educational environment for all students.
Our campus has also been home to some groundbreaking strides for the LGBT community. Learn more about our history and milestones. We continue our pioneering presence today and invite you to explore some of the reasons why we are such a dynamic campus for those who identify as LGBT+ or allies.
