Resiliency Factors among Transgender People of Color

Coming Out Process and Ownership of Information

Our study explores how LGBTQ individuals utilize the coming out process within their families to negotiate ownership of information regarding their sexual orientation. Anyone who identifies as LGBTQ is eligible to participate in the survey (whether they have come out to their family or not). The survey will take about 30 minutes to complete. School Bullying Survey-John Carroll University

The Lived Experience of Students Who Self-identify as both Asian American and lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB)

Colleagues and Students:
 
We are excited to be launching a new research project entitled: The lived experience of students who self-identify as both Asian American and lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB). Participants will be solicited widely through listservs and Facebook sites like this one. All interviews for this study will be conducted by email, allowing participants to reflect on the questions asked and eliminating challenges with scheduling.
 
The purpose of this study is to gather some rich stories from students who identify as Asian American and lesbian, gay or bisexual (LGB), as they experience the intersection of their identities while enrolled in higher education. To participate in this study, individuals must:
(1)        identify as being of Asian descent and lesbian, gay or bisexual;
(2)        be enrolled currently in a degree-seeking program at any level in higher education (including grad school, and professional programs) in the U.S.;
(3)        have been born in the U.S. or immigrated by the age of 10 years old.
