Description:
The purpose of this qualitative study is to understand the academic and social \"lived\" experiences of male undergraduates of color who identify as gay or bisexual. Using a semi-structured interview protocol, we elicit information about students\' pre-college personal histories, decisions about disclosing their sexual identity to others, challenges and achievements they\'ve experienced since entering college. Cues focus on issues of identity, socialization, environments, and interactions with others. All college men who meet the sampling criteria, enrolled in (or recently graduated from) 2- or 4-year colleges and universities, are eligible to participate.
